The time has come. The battle is over. Life is really just beginning! High school was the adventure no one can live with out. It's full to the brim of life needed lessons and experiences that may not seem like much, but later change your life. I had the oppotunity to be changed by my high school experience. All for the better! By participating in different events activities, getting to know the most random people, and just being at OHS during this time will forever stay with me! Graduation is such a bitter sweet time in life. You either can't wait to get out, don't want to leave, or it hasn't sunk in. For most of the seniors, it was can't wait to get out. For me, I didn't want to leave...can't wait to leave...ok, I'm done! At times I was thrilled, often times tears came, and other days I was ok with it all. It really is one of the biggest moments in your life up to that point. Knowing and leaving everything you had for 4 years behind is NOT a simple task. It's amazing what 180 days a year for 4 years can do to a person. It was bitter sweet to think back on the years we, the class of 2011, spent in high school. We had non stop construction, a principal who was quite the character, and over all as a class we didn't all bond. But when we were talking about it after graduation practice, we came to a conclusion as to why. We, as a class, have been so unsettled, whether it be constuction or schedule changes, new teachers and administrators. We were forced to have to dig down and find that extra strength to just be ok with everything. It's alot harder then people think. All your life you imagine the way high school will be, you plan what you want to happen. Then to suddenly have to constantly readjust to the changes and everything else causes things to be different. For us, we didn't have your average high school experience. We had more. We learned more. We battled more. We conquered more. We were successful despite the fact that the odds were not on a our side.
Just something to think about. :)
